Outdoor Alphabet

Because the weather is so gorgeous here in Michigan the kids and I decided to do a natural alphabet photo hunt.  We looked for the letters of the alphabet in nature or used natural materials to create our own.  The only letter we're missing is S.  Enjoy!!!

The kids LOVED being letter detectives and seeing what they could find or make:)  A great learning experience/review!

MONSTER JAM

Last weekend the boys headed to the Monster Jam Rally at VanAndel.  William had no idea until a half hour before they left:)  They were joined by Uncle Aaron and had a great time watching the smashing, crunching and squealing!
The boys....and Will with his ear protection!
Our basket full of girl fun while the boys were gone!!!!!  Lots of Barbie movies, crafts, stickers and activities!!!!

Growing.......

Tucker had his first visit to the vet this week and has about doubled in size since his 6 week trip to get his first vaccines!!!!!  He has easily settled into a routine and is a really great puppy!  He also loves to lay around and sleep in interesting positions!!
Handsome!
We are all smitten.....can you tell????

Seuss-tacular!!!!

This year I went all out planning to celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday!!!  Unfortunately for me sickness struck our home and we only got to a few of the things I had planned.  Here is a look at all the books that we were able to get from the library or already owned.  I had planned to read ALL of them and I think we've only gotten to 4 or so.
I was able to find several cute ideas on Pinterest and quickly found a few printouts that I knew my kids would enjoy.  The first one was a book about me!  The kids enjoyed filling out their information and I will enjoy keeping these for years to come!
We also got our cooking on and baked some cupcakes.  We found these fun cupcake picks to dress up our regular cupcakes and make them Seuss-tacular!!!!
We also watched the movie "Horton Hears A Who" and made our very own specks.   The kids really enjoyed role playing with their specks and quoting lines from the movie:)
Happy Birthday to Dr. Seuss!!!! Maybe next year we'll be able to use all the other awesome ideas that I gathered:)

Restaurant Style

While preparing dinner one night this week I found myself needing an extra hand to stir something so it wouldn't burn.  Kailyn quickly put her imagination to work and we began to pretend that we were professional cooks in a restaurant.  We printed up a menu and the kids set the table. We also lit a candle to set the restaurant mood:)  Kailyn even served everyone their soup and was a great hostess!!!!!
The menu is upside down, but you get the idea!!!  What a fun was to eat dinner.....love my children's creativity:)

I *heart* You!

Kailyn's valentines treat!

A day in the life.....

It's almost been 2 weeks since we took Tucker home!!!!  He is adjusting fairly well!  He LOVES to explore and is actively teething:)  He is a really smart baby...he tells us when he needs to go outside by crying and scratching at the door.  He also paws at the cupboard where we keep his food when he's hungry.  Tucker also thinks he is a lap dog, when anyone is on the floor he will quickly crawl into their lap and get comfy:)
The many crazy positions that we find Tucker in......
Getting comfy in the nearest lap:)
Loving the sunshine!
Kailyn decided to try out the crate with Tucker.....hilarious!
