This afternoon the kids and I read "Snowballs" by Lois Ehlert! What a perfect book for a day like today, while the snow was coming down in buckets, and this mommy really didn't want to go outside and play in the snow. In the book, the children build a family of snowmen using snowballs and they are all decorated with things for the birds and other animals to eat. So the kids and I opted to stay indoors and make our very own snowmen, using the book as our guide:)

Our finished snowmen!! And they turned out pretty cute, even though I gave the kids almost complete control of the decorating! When they were done, Kailyn asked if we could do it again.....a great independent craft for her!!!
